VIETNAM REMEMBERED
Introduction
What follows are five short, first-person essays on my experiences in Vietnam, followed by a "Redux" retrospective about the series, explaining my views of that conflict from a geopolitical perspective, 30 years later.
The original series received a first place award for depth reporting from the Sigma Delta Chi / Society of Professional Journalists collegiate newspaper contest, Region VIII (Texas and Oklahoma). It was first published in the Daily Skiff, the student newspaper at Texas Christian University, where I was then a staff member and journalism student.
